My bunny is 8 month now and weight 1.6 kg.

The breeder told me that she’s a american fuzzy lop, but as I googled and found she looked nothing like a fuzzy lop. I think she should be a mix, but mix of what?

So can anyone tell me her possible breed? A lot of thanks.

What a sweet looking bunny! The poses are adorable.
She does look more like a US Mini Lop (or Dwarf Lop depending on where you live).

I inserted your pics for you. The files uploaded but you just have to click on the “Insert Image” icon to the right of the file names.

Her color is Japanese Harlequin. She’s completely adorable!

At 8 months she might not have her full coat yet, but she looks like a mini or dwarf lop. (Mini lop in the USA, dwarf lop in Europe).

Harlequin is a pretty common pattern in the US and has been “inserted” into many different breeds. I agree she looks like a mini lop. She’s adorable.

japanese Harlequin is rare as I’m not in the US, and I’m still puzzling about how my breeder obtain the cute bunny…also the only one at his place …thank u so much LBJ10

another question, how to define a mini lop? (as to my bunny she has reached 1.6 kg at her 8 month, and I suspect her weight will continue to increase) I once thought a dwarf should be so tiny just like Pitapoteto on Ins(see below), and when will a mini lop reach its stable weight?

Someone must have been trying to work the harlequin pattern into their stock. Perhaps the breeder bought a rabbit from another breeder and it’s heritage wasn’t 100% known. Maybe some harlequin was in there a few generations back and is now appearing in the offspring. It wouldn’t surprise me if that was the case.

Let’s see, a mini lop maxes out around 6.5lbs, but can be smaller than that. What is that in kg?

Mini lip (US) = Dwarf lop (UK)

If I remember right then, Holland lop (US) = Mini lop (UK)… Is that right?

So you would have what you call a dwarf lip and I would call a mini lop.

                          LBJ :
                          1kg of sugar = 2,2lb.
                          6,5lb of bunny = 2,95kg…. ish… LOL
                          (That’s quite a big bunny!)

That’s the max weight. I think most are 5-6lbs.
