        Hi all.

So as you may know, I’ve tried so many good quality hay brands for my bunny and he just won’t eat them. I discovered that it wasn’t the brand or the flavor that he disliked. It was actually the texture. He is super fond of soft timothy hay, and that’s all he will eat. I found some at my Tractor Supply that he loves but I just ran out. My local TS is very far from my house, and I only go to that area on Sundays. Since I ran out of timothy, he is currently devouring the oxbow alfalfa hay that I found laying in my house. Will it be ok for my 5 month old bun to have only alfalfa until Sunday? He’s eaten a ton of it all day today, and hasn’t been producing as much poop as he did when he ate timothy.

Yeah, it’s fine. You might have trouble switching him back on to the timothy tho!

Thanks! and haha, yeah that’s what I thought about switching him back to timothy. Alfalfa is his all time favorite, so I know that the transition will be difficult. Especially as picky as he is.

It’ll be challenging I suspect but giving him alfalfa now is better than no hay Just be prepared to play the perseverance game when you get the timothy lol

Good news! I actually found a big of timothy (lol I have a lot of hay in my house) and he’s eating it! I’m glad he doesn’t have to eat alfalfa for a week because every time he eats it, he overproduces cecos.
