I’m going to a camp this year! Lastd year I forgot things, and I don’t want to this year! We will be camping in a camper, just me and my mom.

Does anyone have some must-have’s that I should make sure I have? I really don’t want to forget ANYTHING

        Any checklists are appreciated!

        Thanks, BB on!

Warm blankets, tp, soap, shampoo, cooking equipment, way for bunny sitter to reach you, good shoes, back pack, canteen. That’s about all I take.

Bug repellent! Depending on where you’re going, you need to make sure you have the appropriate kind. I grabbed what we had at my house when I packed for Costa Rica. It put in on and I was being eaten alive by sand flies. Oh my gosh it was awful. I looked at the bottle and it only had 2% DEET in it. Definitely not strong enough for those horrid little things.

                      Sunscreen!

Since you’ll be in an RV and not carrying everything on your back, I’d also suggest a swimsuit and shoes to wear when you’re not wearing hiking boots (like flip flops or regular sneakers).

Depends on how you are camping-a posh place with a restaurant and pool or out in the boonies. I take bear spray out to the real boonies.

Don’t forget bugspray and mosquito coils. And afterbite-a whole first aid kit is good to bring.
Cards and boardgames. hot chocolate. Comfy camp chairs. String and rope for hanging towels and clothes. Flip flops and warm shoes. Axe and something to start a fire with (flint stick if you want to really have fun or lighters), candles and lanterns, flashlights. Something to listen to music on. Hot dog stick. Don’t forget the salt/pepper/oil and butter for cooking. Towels. Books. (Computer if you are camping with wifi),

Toothbrush and paste, facewash, makeup and personal care items. pillows and sleeping bag. I’m mentioning these as I’ve totally forgotten them

A camp shower (it’s a black bag that heats up in the sun and has a hose and shower head) is about 20$ but so worth it. Even if there are showers there, if you aren’t camping in motorhome it’s nice to have some running water to clean your hands and face If you have no sun and need to use it to shower you can boil water on the fire and add it to cold water for a nice warm shower (I scuba dive in a no service camp ground so that’s how we have to shower after). If you do have a shower and taps in the trailer than no need

Frisbee, volley ball, bocce or other games are super fun to do when camping.

Have a great time! It will be months before we can go up here, still tons of snow but camping is just so fun!! I’m excited for you!

i went to a co-ed Y-camp about an hour NE of Muskegon, MI every summer from ’85-’91.
$*&!ty camp songs aside,, it was pretty fun. at the end of the 2 weeks i didnt want to go home again.
2 decades LATER, in retrospect, most of the fun memories were from all the times we were breaking the rules and playing pranks.
                              i remember lipsync-night doing Skid Row’s I Remember You.

We are going in a motorhome. SO water and a shower, and electricity Lol, I am NOT a hardcore camper, I am doing this, cause of the bands that play, and the food! Ohh.. I almost forgot-makeup! lol. I don’t think I am going to wear alot because its going to be super hot! Like in the 90’s!
Once it was like 100degrees. I am probably going to wear mascara, foundation (some) eyseshadow, minimum. But yeah, I am really excited!

Haha last time I went camping my father took us on a “short” hiking trail after we did the whole mammoth cave tour (a couple of miles underground walking, with a steep incline in part of it)… 16 miles later….

Camping with make up? That isn’t camping

At your age, you don’t even need it. Why dry out your skin prematurely?
