so this morning me and my boyfriend took the bunnies to the vet to possibly be neutered and everything went great, the vet ended up doing both of them! everything went great and now they are both home resting, but neither seems all that bothered and both have nibbled some hay.  well as an experiment I decided to try something new..Ive done a alot of reading that bonding occurs during stressful siuations and considering the day I wanted to see how they would react to eachother.  well we took both into my room which is also where cady stays and just sat on the floor with them for a few minutes ( we didnt want to over do it and we wanted them both to get rest) so they seemed to react very well to each other,  there was a good amount of grooming and laying next to eachother, and no signs of aggression or bad behavior.  Im not sure if anyone has ever attempted this, and I wouldnt do it if either seemed stressed but it was actually cute they seemed to be comforting eachother….maybe Im nuts but it went really well….

That’s great! I always think tired and slightly stressed bunnies do well together. I agree with you that if they were super stressed and needed recovery it wouldn’t be a great idea, but since they were so calm (and they were neuters instead of spays) that it was a good thing to try.

Congrats on the neuters! It’s always so hard to watch your babies go to the vet and such a relief when they’re ok.

it was actually a neuter and a spay, lol amazingly shes acting like  nothing happened! shes a tough little bunny, Cady is being the bum, but I think mostly because its his nap time anyway.  I didnt want to over do it, but it seems to make sense letting them get through it together…we’re going to stick with a little at a time until they are both completely healed but if this is any sign I am very excited
