  Okay, our bunny is still young (3 months), and so very busy. it is hard to groom him. Right now, to get at his nails, I take a bigger food item that takes longer to eat (say a carrot) and distract him with the carrot so I can sneakily snip a couple nails. He ends up hopping away. I do keep him in a smaller space with a baby gate for this so he can’t get far. Brushing happens much the same way with him hopping about. He dislikes being lifted of course, but often hopes up into my lap….he just doesn’t stay there long at one time. He resists the burrito and I don’t want to attempt a trance. Am I missing some trick that makes this possible?

  Maybe take him to the vet for his first nail trim. In the meantime you can work on handling and getting him to hold still so you can use the burrito method or similar and successfully trim his nails.
