Cheddar and Poopy had a couple of hours at the park yesterday enclosed in their pen. Both seemed quite happy to be outside as they hopped around with some spunk. Poopy surprised me because she plopped down to lay on the grass. She’s usually very wary and alert so she doesn’t flop much. Cheddy stayed under the willow tent most when not exploring.

Many kids came up and were entertaining:

        • One mom asked her boy what they were. Boy yells out “RAT!”
        • Are they going to make babies?
        • Are they related?
        • Will they bite me?
        • Kids couldn’t decide who was cuter.
        • Kids and adults marveling at floppy ear buns and how soft their fur is.
        • One kid thought that they were puppies.
        • Another said that Cheddar looked mad…which is pretty accurate.

Poopy flopped. She seemed really happy to be in the grass.

Cheddar with that look in his eye, staring me down. This is not the first pic I have with his creeper stare.

        Close up of the stare.

        Close up of Poopy flopped.

Getting away from me and and the sun under their tent.

I’m surprised the kids were so nice. I took mine to the beach once and some boys tried to throw rocks at them =(

Do you take them out often? With all the ppl, mines did not enjoy the outing except maybe feeling/digging the sand.

Aww…Poopy and Cheddar are so cute! How wonderful that they got to enjoy the outdoors.
Creeper face? 0_0 Does Cheddy play Minecraft?

I would develop a twitch if kids came up and got too close to my rabbits. I know it’s good to educate them about bunnies so that there will be less ‘impulse buys’ at Easter, but I see so many children whose parents do not reign them in, I would be too tempted to mete out a little discipline.

                          Gorgeous pictures!

I was kind of wary of bringing the buns to a park because lots of kids would be around. We got a spot on a grassy area that was away from the playground. Almost all of the kids that came up were very cautious at first. They were looking and would only pet when I said it was okay to pet them softly on the head and back.

I forgot to mention that I told a kid that their names were Cheddar and Pepperoni and he told me not to put them on a pizza. Oh kids.

I wouldn’t be surprised by the odd comments the kids were making. I hear some of the weirdest things all the time! I often wonder where the heck these kids get these things from. It looks like the buns had a nice time at the park. I wish it was nice enough here to take the buns places. I suppose I could this summer, but I don’t know what they put on the grass here.
