Bunny Worms?

Hello, this is only my second time posting on here but I have a question I think someone on here might know the answer to. Currently my two buns and I are staying with a friend while waiting for our apartment to be ready. They have six cats, all healthy and fine, but another roommate recently got her own cat. She had taken him to the vet to get all his shots and tested for diseases, but tonight we found he has worms! The vet said they tested him for them and that he did not, but he has been isolated from the other pets and so the worms that we found are definitely his. My question though is, has anyone ever had a rabbit contract roundworms from a cat? I’m worried because although my buns have been kept in their own pen and cage while we’re here, the cats still interact with them through the cage and bars. The cat in question has interacted with them once or twice, and as the concerned bun parent I am, I’m just always worried. Is there anyway to tell if they have them, and anything I can do to help make sure they don’t?

Buns can contract worms. I don’t know how cats factor in since I’m so not a cat person, but your vet can easily dose your buns with a dewormer just in case.
