  My female bun was just spayed yesterday and she’s been eating a little bit and drinking a little bit and I have her on pain meds, but the vet advised me to check the incision area every once in a while but my bun won’t let me.
  
  She growls a lot and thrashes when I try to lift up her front paws to take a look. I’ve seen her licking at it a bit and try to stop her as soon as she starts but without me being able to see it I won’t be able to know if it’s healing properly.
  
  Are there any better ways to check the incision than what I’m trying? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  is there a treat that she really likes? you can try using that treat to get her to stand on her hind legs either in the air or with the help of some cage bars to lean on if you know what im talking about. That way you can quickly look at her belly as she stretches up
  or have someone else give the treat while u look if thats easier

  You can also do what blubudgie suggested and use a mirror. When she stands up to get the treat, place a mirror down there so you can see her belly.
