I noticed over the weekend that Harvey was sitting weird. He would groom his back left leg by sticking it out in front of him and then just leaving it there. He had done this before but he was doing it multiple times a day, much more frequently than usual, and it was only that leg. He seemed to be grooming it a lot more than usual as well. Yesterday (Wednesday) we get home and he hasn’t eaten as much of his pellets as usual, and he is limping. He is still sticking it out in front of him, but also when he sits normally it is like he is holding the toes off the ground. When he walks he also tries to hold it off the ground, but does put weight on it and use it. We took him to the vet and they couldn’t find anything wrong, so gave us an anti-inflammatory to give him in case it is a strain. Today we got home and again, he hasn’t eaten as much of his pellets as usual. He turned his nose up at banana, but destroyed a baby carrot that I gave him. His foot still looks uncomfortable, and while he is still moving around quite a bit, he’s not as active as usual.
Sorry for how long this is. I don’t know what I can do to help him and I don’t know how worried I should be.
