My 4 year old jersey wooly will not eat any greens! A while back, she used to eat a little kale, but then she completely stopped eating it. I’ve tried parsley, romaine, mint, red lettuce, green lettuce, kale, and escarole. I want to try dandelion greens (my vet recommended it) but they don’t have it at my local grocery store and I’m not sure where to get it. I just want my little girl to be healthy and learn to love greens! She refuses to touch most of them. She scooted the escarole out of the way with her head, that was a big step. I just dont know what to do. Everyone tells me to just try different kinds of greens, and leave them out, and eventually she will try them, but it’s just not working! HELP!

          Awww what a cute bun
Could you tell us the rest of her diet as well?
Does she like fruit? Maybe dipping the veggies in a juice and water mixture could encourage her to eat them.
Have you tried spinach? It is high in calcium but that would be a start.
Do you have any idea why she stopped eating greens?

She is SO cute! I don’t have anything helpful on getting her to eat her greens, if Amelia is not trying a new green my god steals it and then she will grab some and eat it

Have you tried cilantro? Most bunnies love that. Dandelion greens are also a favorite, but you can usually only find them in natural foods stores. If you garden at all, you can find dandelion seeds at a couple of places online – Burpee Seed Co. and Johnny’s Seeds. Johnny’s has more varieties. They have the Italian kind and the chickory seeds.  You can gather them from your yard, just make sure that they haven’t been sprayed with anything.

Carrot tops are usually a favorite, but they can be hard to find – at least, the good fresh ones. Some stores will have carrots with tops but the tops are old and wilted. I get mine from a natural foods store, either Fresh Market or Earth Fare. You can even get a carrot bunch with tops that aren’t so fresh, then resprout your own fresh tops. Cut the carrot so that there is about an inch of the carrot at the top, with about an inch of greens attached, and stick the carrot part in some soil or in water. It will resprout. You can use containers if you don’t have a garden.

Some people say to get a rabbit to eat something, to brush it against their nose/mouth area.  Sometimes they will grab it and start eating.
