Hi guys, since stopping the buns pellets and veggies just over a month-ish ago, I planned to weigh them both weekly to ensure they didn’t lose weight. Unfortunately picking them up to do this was not gunna happen and I wasn’t able to fully lure them onto the scales accurately to get a good reading. I was then in hospital for two weeks and my bf was unable to weigh them also. They’ve been to the vet today for a weigh in (apparently it’s easier getting them into their carrier than it is getting them on a set of scales?! I had to go to the vet to pick up their worming medicine anyway) Anyway, just before stopping pellets Buttercup weighed 2.18kg. She now weighs 2.28kg
Peanut unfortunately wasn’t weighed prior to stopping the pellets. His most recent weigh in before today was back in February at their routine wellness check, he was 1.76kg (Buttercup was 2 kg back then) Today he weighs 1.94kg. I’m unsure whether he may have been a bit heavier and has since lost it after stopping pellets. My plan is to weigh them both weekly (at the vets) at least for a few weeks to check his weight is stable.
I’m a bit worried tho, does be seem a bit. ..small? He’s always been smaller than Buttercup, always. And according to my calculations, since February Buttercup has put on 0.28kg and Peanut has put on 0.22kg. So they’ve put on roughly the same. I’m just a little paranoid that he’s unhealthily small. He is just generally smaller built but can anyone put my mind at ease? Obviously if he weighs less next week I will need to investigate.
