Bunny stopped eating after my trip!

I left by bunny with a friend of mine for 16 days while I went on a trip. I gave my friend instructions on how much to feed her and when to feed her. My bunny was not in her normal cage, she was in a big dog kennel. I was thinking that was the problem and she was just stressed but it has been 3 days and she has barely touched her pellets. She has been eating her hay and going to the bathroom normally but I am worried about her.

She is 1 year old and she has been spayed. I have only had her for about 4 months, if that helps.

What should I do?

As long as she is eating hay still, and going to the bathroom normally, she should be okay. Watch her for a bit, and make sure her droppings are still staying proper size. If they start shrinking or going down in frequency, she needs to see a vet immediately.

My Meketaten gets very finicky with food if something changes for her. Once I coaxed her to eat by crushing her pellets (do you know how HARD that is!!) and mixing it with water and having her lick it off my fingers – but that was when she wasn’t eating at all. You could try hand feeding pellets to your bunny, or perhaps even pick up a bag of Critical Care just in case she decides to go off her food, but from one overly-worried bunny mom I can say to you that I don’t think you have anything to worry about as long as she’s still eating hay =)

Knowing bunnies, she’s probably just being a brat to prove a point to you that you should never dare to leave her highness again, lol
