I dont know what’s normal or Whats not. The scar is a little red, but it doesnt appear to be bleeding. She doesn’t let me near her belly and can only see it when shes flopped down. It doesnt look wet, bloody, or pussy, but it is red. It doesnt seem to bother her at all except shes not as active as yesterday (but still playing) and today was her last dose of pain medicine
Is she just sore from being to active? Did she rip the glue? Should i be worried??

          Hi Pandora,

Your photo hasn’t worked – if you click upload photo, once it’s uploaded you then also need to insert it into the post – it’s a bit long winded!

When was she spayed? It sounds like it was recent, in which case, a red scar is to be expected. Is she eating and pooping? Does she look hunched at all? Has it changed colour?

Does your vet do a post-spay check? Lots of places will check up about 5 days after a major op, just to check everything has healed as it should, so it might be worth trying to schedule a check up, just to reassure yourself.

From what I can see, it just looks like reddish scabbing. I don’t see any inflammation, oozing, bleeding, etc. It doesn’t look angry at all.
