I have been to the vets this morning with my bunny Scruffy. A few days ago there were excessive cecal poops, so I cut out his pellets (which he gets a minimal amount of anyway) to try and increase his hay intake (which is a fairly good amount anyway). This morning I went to clean the litter tray to find a plentiful amount of poo, BUT some of it was very small.

I took it along to the vets with me, and he has been put on metacloprimide (gut stimulant), and lapizole (wormer as a precaution). The vet said he felt a little bit constipated. She also wants me to take him back first thing in the morning, to see how he is doing.

Could there be a reason for this constipation? He seems fine in himself. Good appetite, hopping, binkying and playing as normal.

        Thank you

Is he shedding? Sometimes that can cause a backup in bunnies.
