Okay, here’s an update on my neighbor’s bunny Noelle. She seems to be adjusting well to her new surroundings. I went over yesterday to see her and got a cute video of her playing with an Oreo Box: Oreo Box

Maybe it would be best to get her a new toy though… is plastic safe for rabbits? My neighbor doesn’t really know what rabbits like to play with, but we tried giving her a phone book because she likes to chew, and she nibbled it a few times and ignored it. We tried making a diggy box out of shredded newspaper but she just laid in it and decided to turn it into a litterbox. She hasn’t liked any toy we’ve given her, she just LOVES plastic. The thin kind used on food wrappers, I mean. I think she likes the crinkling noise and the texture. Everything else outside of plastic though? She just ignores it.  Except for furniture legs, THOSE she’ll gnaw on. I’ve been trying to think of a safer toy than plastic wrappers for her, but you gotta admit, she’s pretty cute with the oreo box!

PS: How do you people embed videos in your posts? I can’t for the life of me manage to do it!

well plastic is okay but be very careful about it. use rabbit specific made toys with plastic though, but of course i mainly mean the hard kind. the thin kind she could swallow and it could block her digestive system and kill her. so that would just be plain TERRIBLE. i would suggest a Kabb or wood chew. and if she likes the orea box then thats great just let her play with that if she likes it so much. Plus why don’t you have a look at the toys in the BB store and surprise her with a new cardboard or wood chew.

I doubt plastic is safe for bunnies. My bunny loves to try and chew on plastic bags tho! i think it may be because of the noise it makes idk
