Max, my 4 1/2 month old lop eared bunny has gotten the whole ‘pee goes in the box’ thing down, but he has always struggled with pooping everywhere. In his hutch, on the carpet, even on a person. The majority does make it into his box, but he will leave poop scattered everywhere else. He was neutered about three weeks ago- and I thought his pooping everywhere was a territorial thing, so I expected it to stop- but it doesn’t seem to lessen after he got neutered. We do have two small dogs too, and one is infatuated with him, so I keep thinking it’s a territory thing.
I looked through all of the old posts and could only find ones that addressed bunnies who recently started pooping outside their litter boxes. Max has always had this problem. I don’t know if I should wait a little longer to see if his neutering will help, or if because there are other animals Max will always be territorial. I would appreciate any ideas or feedback. Thanks!
