I wonder if my bunny is peeing out of spite. We litter trained her and she’s usually pretty good. I work from home and sit at our dinner table, which is a diner booth. She likes to come up to the diner sofa and sit with me as I work, unfortunately she has been peeing on the sofa. She’s peeing on the same spot too, but I use chlorox and vinegar and all the the different methods to clean up afterwards, so she seems to remember this spot as her toilet. If I sit on that spot she will pee on me. For the last few times I’ve caught her lifting her tail and said “no!” very loudly and suddenly but she pees almost immediately, so I pick her up mid-pee and bring her back to her litter box. I feel pretty hopeless right now.

She’s currently 3 months old, we adopted her at 2 months. She learned to use her litter box pretty quickly during the month she’s been with us. I wonder if she’s peeing out of spite because she seems to be digging at me for attention/snacks before she pees, or if she’s being hormonal though she’s only 3 months!

From your post, I assume she isn’t spayed yet. The body starts to experience changes before full-blown puberty hits. So yes, hormone-driven is likely the reason. Also… bunnies like peeing on soft things that smell like their human.
