My little cousin Aalyshia is having a party, she was hesitant about the theme til’ I brought up a rabbit party – SHE LOVED IT!

She’s 10 and her mom tells me I should host the party since I love rabbits so much! I accepted, but now I’m stumped on the whole idea! Crafts, food,.. games. I am not creative, so I need help on mainly crafts, but food and games too! I was thinking about bringing Pablo to her party so evryone could pet him I might set his pen up in their home so he can be there the whole day.(They live about 6 mins away.) Does that sound okay? She is only inviting 5 friends . and i think they are mature enough and wont be rough. Do you think so?

Anyway, any ideas would be very appreciated! This is a dumb subject, but if you help I will try to post pics!  (BRIBE)

        haha

What about pin the tail on the bunny? you could make a fluffy tail and draw a rabbit outline or print one (walmart, meijer, sams all do cheap prints)
I saw on pinterest bunny cupcakes- so cute!
They sell beads in the shape of buns or even just regular beads and make bracelets or something.
That’s all I got for right now… I’ll keep thinking.

As for the bring Pablo, I think your judgement is going to be the best call. I wouldn’t let them pick him up and I wouldn’t let them all be in the pen with him at once. But you also have to consider that bringing the bun might make some little girl want a bunny and if her parents oblige then another bunny is going into an un-prepared home. Also you would probably want to make sure none of the guests are allergic to rabbits.

Oh my gosh I love this sort of thing! I would suggest giving the kids the “informative bunny speech” if you do bring Pablo. Because with how excitable kids can be they will be charmed by how cute he is and might beg their parents into getting them a rabbit afterword. And their poor parents would have no clue what they got themselves into. =p

Now some craft ideas. It would be cute to have a picture taken of the kids and then have them make this:

Or they can make these to put up on their doors to their bedroom:

            Here’s another idea:
            http://www.orientaltrading.com/flower-bunny-magnet-craft-kit-a2-48_6629-12-1.fltr?Ntt=bunny

What would be super cute is if you made these with the girls:

            OR these:

Another cute idea is to give the girls a potted plant and a tiny watering can. In the potted plant can be a couple of seeds. And you can say to the girls that it’s them starting their own ‘bunny’ garden.

For decorations (I know it says Happy Easter on some of the stuff but there are some with rabbits on it and do not say Happy Easter):

Here’s a site that did a Peter Rabbit theme:

Oriental Trading is a great place to look for craft ideas. =]

(Sorry I know a lot! Hope it helps. =])

You could play a rabbit themed game of red light green light where everyone has to hop.

You could make rabbit tails by glueing large cotton balls to clothespins.

              Face paint whiskers.

Dandelions could be used as decorations.

Human-sized box maze in the backyard. Maybe 10 is too old for this….? Dunno.

You should definitely make bunny-themed invitations and goody bags to take home! Even if everyone has already been invited — it will still be really cute! And in the goody bags you could make the rice-krispy treats that SkippersMama suggested and then wrap them in plastic wrap! And the bracelet idea could be in there! If they’re all girls you cheap cloth headbands from WalMart or Target and then get some of those cheap little cloth sew-ons in the crafts section and hot glue them on! You could make a ton of those cupcakes instead of cakes and have them set up together so you can still put a candle in each one and she can still blow out all the candles. Or you could just have a cake with a rabbit made on it.

Is your bun friendly and playful? If so, I taught mine to eat craisins out of my mouth that I held between my teeth and within a day or two they are always searching for them when people lean down close to them and sniffing their mouths… sooo maybe you could play a game with the bun with craisins or some other treat that you could do more of? Just an idea. I would try and think of things your bun always likes to do and try and incorporate that into the day.

And don’t forget a treat to give your bun while everyone eats the cupcakes!

Along with what Frankie said, if you do give out goodie bags, you could print out some basic bunny care info and stick it in the bag. That way the parents don’t get suckered in with no background info.
