Hello Everyone, I haven’t been on here for a while but I was wondering whether anyone had left their bunnys for as long as three weeks before? We are going away for three weeks so my Mum is looking after Currant while we’re away – I’m scared he won’t remember me when we get home ;(

Do they remember you after that long? We’ve had Currant for 7 months and left him for a couple of days before but not this long.

Would love to hear from anyone that has been in the same situation

        Thanks, Nina

          Hello
I had to leave Kokanee for exactly three weeks this summer. My boyfriends mom looked after her for me. She was a little mad at me when I came home, ignored her toys I bought her, but there was no problem at all, just a few hours of bunny cold shoulder! Don’t worry!

Why don’t you leave a towel or somehting you’ve used that you don’t mind getting chewed alittle, it will have your scent on it for your bunny!

            Hi Nina, welcome back!

It’s hard to go away and leave your bunny for three weeks. I’ve also had some extended trips and I think the key is to convince your mom to give him lots of love and affection while you’re away. We also would call and leave answering machine messages for them to hear, your mom might also be willing to hold the phone up to Currant so you can talk to him too. My bunnies like to poke the phone with their nose when someone is talking, so I think they kinda get the concept. Maybe i’m crazy, but it makes me feel better to call.

Yeh, I took lots of pics and vids with me so I could watch them while away…My bf’s mom spoils the bunnies so they don’t mind her caring for them at all…She lets them do anything so their manners are a little bad when i get them back hehe
