Hi! My bunny poops daily, but at a weird schedule. He doesn’t poop at all during the day, only at around 5pm – 10am. He’s also a bit gassy during the hours he’s not pooping, but still eats. Is this normal? It’s been going on a for a couple of weeks now

Bunnies tend to poop less during their inactive times. Most bunnies tend to nap and lounge around during the day, so they may not poop much. Then they become more active in the evening and poop production increases.

Perhaps there is a food that you are giving in the morning that makes him a little uncomfortable until later in the day? 7 hours is a fairly long time without pooping.

If you’re home during the day, try topping up the hay rack around 1pm, that usually inspires my two to jump into the litter tray and have a chew to get things moving.
