We have 2 French Lops (1 doe, 1 buck) that just turned 4 months old. The boy had been having a bit of a sneezing/coughing issue for about a week, so we took him in for a checkup. They said he looks and seems fine, maybe a slight respiratory infection, so gave us some antibiotics for him. After a week on the meds, his sneezing/coughing seemed to stop, so all was well. Then his sister started having a similar issue. We brought them both in to be altered, the boy was neutered no issue, the girl the doc said had a fever over 104, and that since her brother was sick, he would feel better not operating until shes feeling better, and we agreed. So we got more meds to give to her for 8 days. Well today was day 9, and while she has no longer been coughing, it seems like her personality is off. Shes been much more reclusive, and most certainly less active. When we take her out of her pen now, she just goes to find a spot to lay where no one will bother her. Shes eating okay, maybe her appetite is a bit down. She eats her pellets, and has been nibbling on hay. She eats her treats and Ive seen her drink. The last few days she is eating carpet and plastic with a vengeance. Not just chewing, but eating. Wherever we put her she wants to chew and eat EVERYTHING. And she was never this way. We started finding very tiny poop pellets the last day or so, which ive read can be a blockage or dehydration? Ive been giving her a bit of greenage and today gave her a bit of fresh pineapple to see if it might clear up. I put her in a separate area for now so I can monitor her habits. Shes been alone for a bit over an hour now and no poop or pee. Could she still be not feeling so hot from the fever? Or should I start to worry at this point? She was at the vet last week. Any thoughts? Thanks!
