  On Monday night my mother and I gave all the animals flea stuff. We put just a tiny bit of Advantage on my almost 4 month old bunny because he sadly got fleas from my cat. I noticed he didn’t quite like it, but he would still run around and eat. I woke up the yesterday and noticed he peed just outside the litter box which was a tiny bit odd since he is litter trained. He does leave lil drops here and there, but has never peed. So I found that strange. I also took notice that he would just sit in one spot for long periods of time and barely moved around. Mainly would sit in the litter box or sit next to the cage, but never went in it until I put him in there myself so he could eat and drink over night while I went to bed. I kept waking up to check on him, but nothing. Stayed in the same corner and didn’t even touch the hay or pellets. I occasionally heard him drink some water, but not a lot. I’ve been trying to get him to eat, but he would just stare at the food.
  
  We don’t have any baby gas drops to give him, but I’ll run out as soon as I can to get some. My mom says it’s probably from the flea stuff, but I’m very worried.
  
  I also noticed his droppings were very small than normal and I checked the cage just now in the spot he’s been in all night and barely anything but a few clinged together droppings. His ears are very cold too, if that has any meaning?
  
  I’m going to insist to my mom to bring him to the vet asap. I’m so worried and he is my first bunny :c

  I think that is a good idea. Its a worry when a rabbit any age stops drinking or eating. Are you able to warm him up? Use a towel on a heat pad or just cradle him to your body warmth.
  
  Was it Advantage used on all your pets?
  Advantage should be okay for a rabbit his age but perhaps he has had an adverse reaction.

  Yes, we used it on all of our pets. The owner I got him from said Advantage would be okay, so we just used that for the rest of the animals we have.
  We gave him just a tiny bit and used the rest on one of our smaller cats.
  I’ve been holding some pieces of hay to him and he only seems to be taking the softer kind, but nothing else. He stopped after a few bits and still not drinking. I just talked to my mom and she said she’ll try to get us to the vet, but doesn’t know if it’ll be good due to some money problems with the vet from the last visit with another animal.

  There is no specific antidote for Advantage, care is supportive. Here’s some detailed info:

  Advantage is considered bunny safe, but of course all buns are individuals.
  
  You will need to feed him if he doesn’t eat. You can soak pellets in water and feed by syringe. You can try enticing him with freshly rinses fragrant herbs like parsley or cilantro. Rolled oats can sometimes spark an appetite in a bun.

  I put some soaked pellets on a plate for him. See if he tries to eat that. We will head out to get some parsley and cilantro to see if those will make him hungry. Will get a syringe while we are out as well.
  I’m hoping we can get to the vet before they close tonight.

  Good. I prefer to use a small syringe, 1 ml. Sometimes you need make it wider by cutting off the tip.
  Keep him warm like Jersey said, you don’t want him to get a too low temperature.
  I don’t know if it’d be worthwhile to try and wipe him with sth moist to remove any remainder of Advantage, to stop further exposure. If you do, make sure you dry him properly after, he must be kept warm.

  I currently have him in a light blanket on my lap so I can keep an eye on him. Have some food with me to try and get him to eat until we can get everything and head to the vet later.
  Didn’t even try to eat the soaked pellets. I inched it closer and he kicked it away and turned away from it.
  This is a little scary since I’m new at this.

  It’s good he’s in your lap, he keeps warm plus he’s comfortingly close to his human. His inappetence is very worrying. Pellet mash is often not popular with bunnies, unless you mix it it with sth yummy like fruit baby pure or canned, plain pumpkin -but even then, you often have to syringe the mash-mix to the bun.

  I like having him on my lap and holding him. Special bond I guess.
  We got some parsley and cilantro and I rinsed them, but he could care less. He won’t even eat the soft hay now that he kinda ate before. I put him and the blanket on the floor to see if he would move around. He did a tiny bit although is back to sitting still. He is still very alert to everything, just doesn’t move.

  Would mint leaves do anything for him? Since he’s not eating the parsley and cilantro.

  Update: just got back from the vet. The doctor couldn’t find anything wrong with him, but gave him some fluids and antibiotics in hopes it’ll improve. He doesn’t think the Advantage did this.
  Just curious, could it possibly be too cold in my room for him to where it’s making him not feel good? I have my ac on quite often because I get hot very easily. I have a blanket over his cage so it doesn’t get directly on him. Other than that, I have no idea what would help. We gave him some baby gas drops last night, but that didn’t do anything since he doesn’t have any gas problems. Or possibly change his hay and pellets.
  I’m extremely frustrated. Anyone ever experience this?

  You can measure his rectal temperature, it should tell you if he is comfortable. Give him some blankets to snuggle with. Should start administrating critical care if he hasn’t eaten in a day.. If he doesn’t move, he could be in pain.

  I gave him a few blankets and darn, forgot to tell my mom about critical care. Will go back out later.
  
  He has done some twitching/shaking a few times, but the vet said he doesn’t know what that could be.

  He eats the CC, but still not eating on his own. I have another post in the diet & care forum about recent events.
