Bunny not eating

Hi there!

I have two lion heads. My female is always energetic and my male is usually more reserved. 

On Christmas Eve my male, Don Giovanni, got sick. Since it was Christmas no pocket pet vets were open. He was having diarrhea and was pushing his tummy to the ground. He was also lethargic and started being aggressive to his bonded mate.  I took him to a vet and they said he might have eaten something or needed a new diet. Each day after that (up until last Wednesday) I have him critical care and two different liquid meds. He was cleaned up at the vet and given fluids and a shot, as well. He was doing so much better and I was very happy. He wasn’t having diarrhea anymore and was eating and acting normally. 

However, this afternoon I noticed he was lethargic and not super interested in food. I tried giving him hay, then greens, then kibble and he wasn’t interested. I waited, making sure he had tons of hay and water, and when he didn’t start eating I gave him some critical care again. He ate the critical care but is still not interested in food. He usually loves fresh greens (romaine and basil) but he’s turning his nose up to them. My female, Mustache Sally, is as energetic and hungry as always. Do you think this could just be him still on the mend? I’m going to give the vet a call in the morning but I’m just so worried about the little bun.

He could still certainly be on the mend. It’s hard to say though without knowing what was wrong. Did the vet provide a diagnosis? What were the two medicines that he gave for? Were the painkillers, antibiotics?

Is his poop still normal or has he returned to having diarrhea? If he’s having diarrhea again I’d seek out a vet visit as soon as possible as buns dehydrate very quickly.

He was given antibiotics for his rash from the dirty bum he had and pain killers. The vet didn’t have a diagnosis. Just said he might have eaten something that didn’t agree with him.

His poop is normal and he isn’t being aggressive to his mate anymore. I was informed that he did eat some greens about an hour ago and he’s grooming his mate rather than just sitting. I can’t tell if he’s drinking water though since I have two buns. I know someone is drinking but can’t be sure it’s him.
