This morning when I went to say good morning to Holly, there was fur everywhere. I read about false pregnancy, so I wondered if that was what she was doing. It looked like a small nest.  Her fur on her looks good.  It looks like she gave herself a trim.  I cleaned up some of it. When I get home today, I’ll clean up the rest of it.  She was a little active last night when I put her away. Maybe she got bored.

Cadbury did this to me one night, and I STILL haven’t figured out where all that hair came from. She didn’t have any bald spots or anything, and looked completely normal! It did look a bit like a nest, but she’s spayed. It only happened that one time.

baby bun did that once too.  i loked in her room & it was as if a hair bomb had exploded …POOF… hair everywhere.  she’s not spayed but hadn’t had any opportunity for – um – action so???  i can’t remember another time when i saw so much hair molting. she didn’t have any bald spots after that either which is incredible considering the amount of hair that was there.

Exactly. We don’t have any other rabbits. I read somewhere that rabbits that don’t have any action can act like they were pregnant. Who knows. She looks great though. She too doesn’t have any bald spots.

Buns usually pull the fur from their butts when making a nest. Sometimes it is right under their legs so a thin patch might be hard to see. However, they don’t usually pull hair off to the point of baldness as that would make them cold.
