Okay so this is my first pet. The guy I got him from said he was 2.5 months old when I got him. And I got him last month so he’s around 3.5-4 months old.
I have him a on a diet of fresh alfalfa hay, and a salad consisting of coliander and cabbage both in moderate amounts. Fresh water is available at all times.
He got sick a while back because I gave him too many vegetables so I lessened it. And when he was sick he was poopong everywhere. Now he’s perfectly alright and his poop is normal looking except it doesn’t crumble when its squished instead it flattens. Not sure if that’s alarming?
He has been alright for two weeks now but he’s still not using the litter box. I have tried moving the litter box to a corner but that didn’t help either. I also tried using a different type of litter mixed with the old one but he refuses to go there. I usually put his food on the floor beside his litter or in my room on a carpet covered with a blanket. He always pees and poos in his food. I tried putting some hay in the litter but he won’t eat that. In the past two weeks he has only used the litter box once and also everytime he pees it goes out of the box. I don’t know why he is not using it. He was completely trained within one week of getting him but ever since his sickness he’s not using it. He has also started chewing on the carpet. Will getting him fixed solve this?
        Please help.

Spaying and neutering does usually help with litter box training. Your bunny is now at an age when his hormones are really kicking in, so it may be difficult to litter box train him unless he is neutered.

Regarding the vegetables/greens, it would be good if he could have more of a variety. Kale, romaine lettuce, red and green leaf lettuce, dandelion greens, and carrot tops would be good ones to try on him. But you have to go slowly when introducing greens, so as not to cause any upset. Try one new veggie a week. See which ones he likes and discontinue any that might cause problems.
