  Hi, I have a 2 year old Lionhead rabbit named Rufus. Every time I carry him up to my room to play and put him gently on the ground he begins to kick his back legs as he runs around. He will do it like twice and then stop. What does this mean? Should I be worried?

  He might be excited! When mine get their exercise time they run around all crazy. It was weird at first. But then I figured out it was their way of showing excitement.
  
  On the flip side-does he kick as you are putting him down? (The way it’s worded I’m confused) he might be afraid and trying to “get away”. Mine will do that when they don’t want to be held. Hold on to him tightly until he is less than a foot above ground so he can’t hurt himself.
  
  But he’s either happy! Or a little nervous.
  
  But nothing to be worried about!

  Little back leg kicks while waking usually means irritation. If he doesnt like being held, his little kicks as he walks away is his way of telling you that he did not appreciate being carried
  
  Unless you mean he jumps and kicks, that is a display of happiness
