        Hi

We have a half and half bunny – she has the run of the conservatory (and our front room if we are in) but we have also built her a huge enclosure in the back yard which she has access to during the day.  She likes both just the same.

We are relocating to Spain in November and are looking to have her housed somewhere for the first three months until we are certain we want to live there permanently.  Does anyone know how we would go about finding a foster home?  She absolutely has to have the level of freedom she enjoys at our home, with no possibility of being shoved into a hutch full time.

In addition, do you think it possible that she would be able to live in Spain with us?  She is a Dutch, black rabbit and is very active.

We are more than happy to pay for her foster home and also to make our accommodation in Spain accessible.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

          Hi Judith and Steve

What City/Town do you live in? This may help members point you toward suitable foster carers.
In regards to your bunny living in Spain, you would need to look into their quarantine laws. Off hand, I don’t think it would be a problem. You would most likely need to vaccinate your rabbit against myxomatosis and RVHD.
You’d also need to look into the laws of your own country to find out if they’d be any issues bringing a vaccinated rabbit back in.

            Hi Jerseygirl

Thank you for your reply. We are in Bradford but would be willing to travel a while for the best place for our bunny – Bernie (girl).

She is already vaccinated but we were more worried about the heat?

Would be very glad of any help you guys can give us x
