Here’s my update. She LOVED that I offered her banana, so I used it to try and lure her out of the cage. It worked, but she ran right back in. ( I had it on a towel ready to wrap her up in a bunny burrito, but she wasn’t having it) So, I gave her some arugula and dandelion greens, and a small piece of parsley and she ate those with no problems! I kinda left her alone a bit, and noticed if I left the room, she would try to venture out of the cage. Surprisingly, she did, and jumped up on her favorite chairs in her room. She seems fine, I was actually very surprised by it and a little worried. But she didn’t jump a whole lot thank goodness.
Anyway, after trying to get a hold of her, I finally got her to calm down in my arms, without a towel, and got the medication administered. =]
She’s taking Metacam Suspension. 0.35cc twice a day for about 3 to 4 days, and Metoclopramide Solution. 0.8cc three times a day for 2 to 3 days.
I really don’t want her jumping up on things yet, but I guess if she’s ok doing it, and if I can get her meds in that way, then it should be alright. The incisions are under her skin, so she doesn’t seem bothered by them. I’m just keeping her in the cage unless it’s med time so she can relax. She went right back to her dark corner and is snuggling with all the comfy towels and fleece blanket I laid down. She’s got water and hay and a few pellets available, but so far, as stated above, she’s only eaten the few things I hand fed her.
Oh and her stools are normal. The towels I have laid down are kinda dark, so it’s hard for me to see if her pee is good too.
Thank you guys, I was getting worried I wouldn’t be able to give her the meds, but I am so relieved I did! =D I love my bun. =]
