Hi everyone, I have a 7/8 year old dwarf lop called Chester and since he was young he’s had tooth problems e.g spurs which causes lots of problems with his eating, earlier this year we had to get his teeth clipped as they started to grow in the wrong direction causing him to eat very little and loose weight. We thought clipping them would solve the problem but he still isn’t eating all of his dinner.
A few weeks ago Chester got a runny eye again (he’s had it on and off all of his life) but a few days after his nose had a thick discharge coming from it, wet paws and sneezing fits, I thought it was snuffles so I made an appointment with my vet; he said he thinks it is Myxomatosis and gave me a course of baytril to give to him, I’ve heard rabbits with myxomatosis have only 2 weeks to live, nearly 3 weeks later and he’s still here; my vet has now said he has no idea what it could be and has basically given up on us
I’d really like some help
also from last week I’ve heard gurgling from his stomach and can feel and see something moving around in his stomach :/ I’m so worried! Can someone please help? X
