(if pictures don’t show, i will have to figure out a different way to post them..)

So i was the one just three months ago thinking Bunnies could get wet tail.

I am now completely informed! and have reformed my own bunnies to my knowledge!

They were originally my Sister’s rabbits. she never took care of them. fed them only kibble, shut them in a cage all day when she went to school.  My sister has since gone to missouri for the summer and i have revised things a bit.

Needless to say, my bunnies are looking MUCH better! and happier to! they even play around a bit in the cage instead of sleep all day! they used to be overweight and Mimzy kept getting poop balls.

I have not seen a poop ball in more then three weeks now!

Here is the small rabbit room area, or what i converted to mostly a play area it’s about 4feet by 4 1/2 feet. they have more toys in there but they don’t really show

And i extended that tiny room(what they used to get when they got out of their cage that was IN that room)

Pardon the mess, i am in the process of cleaning the extension right now. they use the old cage bottom as a litter box more then half the time! i almost never see poop anywhere else. it’s the litter bedding that tends to get everywhere.

(more house pictures updated during the day after i clean their house)

Frank when we got him, you can see he is kind of fat(does not really show much)

Frank now (hes more fluff then fat now! his fur has improved even if you can’t see it on the cam)

Mimzy THEN, her fur was dull and she was overweight.

Mimzy NOW, she is so shiny! softest dutch i have ever felt and almost as soft as Frank! FRANK IS SILKY

Sounds like you’re doing a good job as a animal owner and researching the proper care and doing something about. WTG! And they do look healthier in the second pictures. Your habitat pictures didn’t show up though.

I’m glad these buns have a good home now! Thank you

Oh! let me fix the house pics!
Actually the second link under where it says

Pardon the mess, i am in the process of cleaning the extension right now. they use the old cage bottom as a litter box more then half the time! i almost never see poop anywhere else. it’s the litter bedding that tends to get everywhere.

is the front part of it, where i have taken a play pen and extended their room.
but i am fixing the first link now

The habitat picture works it’s just the link is wrong
                http://i.minus.com/ivli4VwkUVked.jpg
try that instead, that’s what i did and it worked fine

They must be much happier with you!

They are! every time i walk into the room, they run up to the play pen bars!

they also get their play pen outside and they can munch on the grass and weeds(we don’t use pesticides of ANY kind EVER. funny, not using pesticides actually has helped keep the pests away!)
They are just happier in general. like the first day we brought them home, they did binkies all over the house! they were actually full range bunnies. we got ferrets and the bunnies were then converted to a room.
then we moved and my sister has been keeping them in their small bunny room in a cage

Do you think you’ll keep looking after them when your sister comes home? I love it when bunnies do binkies, it’s just so cute!

Yes i will. I may give her my room and brink my finches with me into the other room so i can care for the bunnies. but the reason i have the larger room is the fact that i have finch cages everywhere haha

i don’t think i will ever let them become in the condition they were in her care again. Poor Frank had urine burns on his back feet from sitting in his own pee because she never cleaned their cage. their cage was also a Guinea pig cage(the larger ones) not big enough for to obese bunnies!

Oh cool, do you have lots of finches? Hopefully she realises that she wasn’t looking after them properly now

Actually i used to have 5 but now i only have three. I have three cages because i have Lux and Lolita(a mated pair) and their daughter Tahny.
Tahny went into their cage when i gave them free flight and plucked poor Lolita almost bare..took out four flights on each wing
Since i don’t want any inscest between Lux and Tahny i have three different finch cages in my room. Lolita’s in a hospital cage until she recovers and grows her feathers back, Tahny and lux are separated :p

I sure do hope she figures out that they were NOT in correct living conditions!
i’m going to tell her what i do every day to keep them clean. and if she can’t do it, i am taking control of them.

haha thanks! i love all 13 of my babies!
I might do a quick photo shoot with a nice brown background of all of them. except the finches, they don’t tend to…stay in the intended area XD
                              i’ll post pictures soon

So amazing that they have you to rely on now! It’s always so depressing and sad when people have animals that they can’t (don’t know how) to take care of properly. They are SUCH cuties though!
