I hope you’re not going to clip their toes!!!!

That link is a good one, I just tend to make sure that I feel along every part of their body, including their belly and under their throat if I can get to it. I check both eyes, though I do that every day now due to my myxo paranoia. Teeth I don’t check terribly often, more opportunistically when they’re yawning or similar. And I like to feel along their hocks and try to get a look while I have the foot for clipping. I also weigh them weekly, but that’s just me. I never used to weigh Bandit because I didn’t have a scale, but I like knowing now how my buns are progressing week to week.
It took me a while, but when I had Bandit, I got him accustomed to me touching his feet while he was sprawled out, so I could check his hocks easily. I found that if I pet down his back and continued the stroke along his leg to his foot without breaking contact he was ok with it, but just touching his foot without doing that would make him withdraw it.
