  We just moved into a house that is very open, which is nice except… My husband is sort of a jerk (to but it nicely) about his TV watching and BLARES the TV constantly. I have one bunny in the kitchen right next to the TV, which sits next to a huge open window between the two rooms. The other bunny is in the hallway off the living room and in the other rooms surrounding it. Although the TV is driving me insane, it’s mainly the rabbits I’m worried about because of their sensitive ears. I can go one room over and close the doors and it’s still LOUD enough to bother me.
  
  Hubby refuses to wear headphones, which would be a great solution. So would him living in the garage but he won’t do that either ?.
  
  Do you all think this will hurt my babies? They don’t seem stressed but I worry, esp since hubby favors shows with lots of gunshots and noisy vehicles. Ugh. Married too long lol.
  
  I’m hoping answers here will either give me comfort, or the ammunition I need to get him to wear headphones. Thanks, everyone ☺!

  My rabbits live directly under my entertainment area. We favor action, horror, and sci-fi around here. I thought my buns would be petrified, but they really are well adjusted to the loud tv and I personally think it helps them with other random noises that can go on outside that we don’t usually hear. Desensitizes them I think.
  
  So those gunshots, or fireworks arent going to bother my buns one bit come 4th of July!

  Fox has his enclosure right next to the TV. The volume never seems to bother him. He only gets cranky if he can’t come out and play when everyone is watching TV.

  Thanks, manic_muncher and Mordaith! Makes me feel much better ?. Perhaps my husband will get to live inside for the winter after all lol. My rabbits never seem bothered by the noise either- it’s probably my screeching at hubby that is more likely to stress them!
  
  Btw, manic, I did the same thing with my kids- louder music/TV from infanthood on so we wouldn’t have to tiptoe around during naptime/after bedtime. I did daycare and some of those kids were like mini sound alarms- one tiny noise set them off. Worked like a charm- to this day my kids will sleep through anything. Although it kinda backfired in high school when I wanted then to get up on their own though ?.
