My bunny has had gas before, so I know how he acts when he has it: lays differently, belly on floor, no appetite, grinds teeth. But I noticed lately that he’s been grinding his teeth more often. I feel his belly and don’t feel gas bubbles, but I do feel poops. Could he be grinding his teeth because he’s filled with poops?
A few months back he was in and out of the vet for fluid injections for bladder sludge. The vet said he could possibly have a stone but she didn’t feel anything. She said just because she doesn’t feel anything doesn’t my bunny doesn’t have a stone, but I was supposed to keep an eye on him. He seemed to be doing fine with only a few teeth grinds here and there, but today I noticed that there’s been more grinding. I also noticed today that he’s been laying differently – not like he has gas, but different.
The earliest I can get him to the vet is Friday
and I called several vets! I’m going to ask for a radiograph. I’m gonna make sure they check his teeth too. Vets always check teeth first, but I’ll make sure they double check.
He’s not quite 2 years old. He still has a wonderful appetite and is still active. I’m so confused and worried. Any thoughts?
