Bunny going for x-ray

I’m new to posting on here so I’m sorry if it’s a bit long winded.
Around a month ago my little guy Hamish (aged 3 neutered) started dribbling the odd bit of pee in random places. He’s usually great only going in his litter tray. I managed to get a good sized urine sample from him. I dropped it off at my vets to do urinalysis.
She called me back later that day and advise he had bacteria present and some calcium crystals present. She gave me some batryl, some Zantac and metacam for 10 days.
I replaced all his veg with low calcium veg, minimised his pellets. He’s always been a good hay eater.
He took his meds well after the 10 days he seemed great no dribbling or crystals, but then he started dribbling again. We took him to the vets who felt his bladder she said she could feel a tiny amount of grit. She recommended another 10 days on the same treatment.
So he finished them and again he was great but now I’ve just found another pee dribble. He’s not showing any signs of being ill he’s eating and drinking well and playing a lot and doing lots of binkys.
I’ve just made an appointment for Friday morning for an x-ray.
My big worry is he’s a house rabbit, he has the run of it and is not used to being confined in any way. The vet who he usually sees is on holiday she’s amazing with him she even sings to him to keep him calm. I’m just so worried about him going in and being so scared as I would book him in, in the morning at 8am then he’s gets assessed then he could be waiting for hours possibly until the afternoon for his x-ray. I’m worried that’ll he’ll be terrified waiting on his own all that time with dogs barking around him. I’ve asked to speak to the vet last Thursday but I’ve not had any callback they just keep saying he’s busy and I’ll have to wait until the appointment. Any advice would be welcome.

I think that most buns are nervous at the vet. I suggest you mention your concerns when you see your vet. Maybe they will give him a little sedative for the Xray. My boy has never needed one but I think some of the more stressed out/difficult buns probably get something to help keep them calm.

Thanks for the reply, I’m just so worried about him, it doesn’t help with the vets not being able to ring me back to answer a few concerns. I’m going to try again tomorrow to try and speak to them. They freaked me out a bit saying that he might not pull through the X-ray it’s just playing on my mind. I love the guy so much. I found him under my car when he was a baby I couldn’t imagine life without him now. Thanks again.
