So, we’ve had a death in the family, my sister’s mother in law, so I’ve been away and at her place for a few days taking care of kids/dogs and helping with whatever they need. It was the first time I really left Albert alone with the husband. He has been great about checking on him when he comes home for lunch or spending some time watching TV with him so he doesn’t get lonely when I’m gone for the day, but he has never been the sole caretaker until now. Admittedly, I was a bit worried. As great as he is, he is not me.
Anyway, the first night I was away he sent me the funniest text when I went to check in before bed:
Me: How are U? How is Albert?
Hubby: I am in Al’s cage now
he is fine…running around. Spent an hour in the cage just chillin….going to sleep soon.
Me: Oh I am so grateful for u. Though I wish I was there to see you in the cage!
Hubby: Yeah my first time in was rough climbing in, but Al is totally cool. Probably because I have pellets.
Hahaha! What I wouldn’t have given to see him climb in and out of Albert’s cage! Then the next night, he sent me this pic of Al on his castle. Best pic ever of him! I can never get him to sit still long enough. I am glad they became fast friends and that I didn’t have to worry about Albert while worrying about the rest of my family. For a man who was beyond pissed that Albert was no longer a classroom bunny, I think he’s come a long way! LOL!

xo,
Kate and Albert
