        Today I saw an ad on Gumtree for a man who had two abandoned rabbits free ranging in his front garden (Armadale WA). He was obviously concerned enough to seek help but he had run out of options. I sent him links and then arranged for a fellow Bunny Lover in the area to mount a search and rescue mission. Subsequently we ended up with another bun who had been found but the rescuer was going to have him put to sleep as they could not find the owner. Enter Diana who rescued Bunny Boy from his “Rescuer” (Seville Grove WA)and relayed BB to Laona (Armadale). Laona got hold of me (Wanneroo)and the BUNNY RESCUE INTERWEB NETWORK sprung into action. Kelly at Rabbit Rescue saw my posts and found Rachel (Collie WA) who will be taking Bunny Boy. Poor baby is very skinny and eating like a trojan, something has chewed on one of his ears and the other is bruised. Bunny Boy (or as I now think of him “Crusoe” has had a rough few weeks. Here are some pics;

        Little chewed on ears.

        A very happy rescue bun in front of the fire with a full tummy.

          We are yet to capture the other two but we are working on it. The weather is appalling at the moment which doesn’t help.

                  He is adorable!!! He looks so snuggly and warm in that last picture. It’s sad that his ear was bit, but it gives him some character I hope the weather gets better and you’re able to find the bunnies.

                    “Crusoe” is overnighting in Heathridge tonight. He came up with our Forrestdale Manager this afternoon and the torrential rain is so appalling I didn’t want to stress him too much. Better a quiet night in a bun friendly house tonight then Brad will drop him off to me.

                        Still no luck on the other two. Crusoe has been to the vet and the damage to his ears was caused by fly’s. He has antibiotics now and is feeling much better according to Brad. He is still with them but because he needs his meds regularly he is heading back to Laona as she can be with him during the day. She is also a bit closer to Collie where the final carer is (who will collect him in about a fortnight.) Will ask Laona to send some updated picks as he starts to put the weight back on which should happen quickly now the infection is being treated. Poor little guy was so skinny but he is eating like a trojan. The vet confirmed he is a young Dwarf Lop.
