Bunny behavior changes

        So Loki is the third bunny i’ve ever had, 1 was taken from me by an ex and the other passed away. I know a little about bunnies but ive never seen such a dramatic change of behavior.
       A week ago I tried to take another step to harness train Loki and he hated me napping the clip under his neck. Before that day he came when I called and did some tricks, he would come over to me for affection all day long. Now he uses his nose to push my hand away, he sniffs me and leaves. Loki will take treats from me but he will run away with them where he used to lay by me and enjoy them. I feel like I broke the bond of trust we have and he doesnt want to try again. I have been trying to train him from scratch again but he really doesnt seem to like me much anymore.
       I had harness trained both bunnies I had previously without much trouble, in fact they grew to love going out. Loki not only refuses to try (I have stopped trying) but he also seems to have lost faith in me. he doesnt seem scared he just doesnt like being around me or even interacting with me.

How old is Loki? Is it possible he’s just hit bunny puberty?

The trust bond can always be fixed and improved upon so dont worry! It sounds like he really isn’t a harness bunny so maybe give up on that idea, but on the whole just do what you are doing to re establish the trust bond.

However, big however, are you sure he’s not sick? The dramatic change in behaviour could signal illness? Remember bunnies hide illness so well.

How old is Loki? Your description of his behavior sounds like a bun that’s started puberty. During puberty, buns (just like humans, actually) go through a period of distancing themselves from their “parents”. It’s a normal teenager thing. It can happen anywhere from age 12 weeks to a year. You sometimes see sth similar with an adopted animal, they lie low for a while and act very complacent, until they feel secure enough to show a will of their own.

Putting a harness on a bun can be tricky, but it wouldn’t break the bond between human and rabbit. A period of some suspicion and foot-flicking can be expected if a bun has been through sth particularly unpleasant (like going to the vet or having its nails clipped), but as a rule they let that go within a day.
