I swear my rabbits are way smarter than I am…seems like they know when something could be up.

I have to clean Mango’s bum regularly and he knows when I’m going to do it because he will just grump and thump and move away from me – that’s pretty much when I know it probably needs to be cleaned.

Today, I had to take Bobby to the vet to have his teeth checked and usually he just sits down the hall by his litter box until I leave but today, no, he goes under the bed so I had to chase him.  I really hated to do that…he must have sensed something from me – I think maybe because I didn’t put his veggies out (well he never runs to them till later so I thought he wouldn’t notice) but I guess he did.  Stupid of me to do that.  I did give him his treats though and his carrot shreds but I guess he’s smarter than the average rabbit or the average human.

It’s not harder to be smarter than the average human, but yes I agree bunnies are very smart and intuitive. Much more than they are given credit for.

Smokey always seems to know when she’s about to go in her carrier to go somewhere because she makes me follow her all around her condo and ignores offerings of papaya unless she can stretch out and take it from me and run. Any other time she’ll come out of her condo to me like it’s nothing. She’s too smart for her own good!

              OH yes   lol

Cotton knows when the 3rd day has arrived to do his lip.  I get near him reach out my hand to pet him   zoom he is gone.  Round n round we go til he gets tired or I get him first.  HE knows what day it is

Lolli knows when her butt needs to be cleaned. She won’t come near me at all. When she’s all snuggled down, sleeping, she’ll usually let me get close enough to give her nose pets. But when her butt is messy, she always hops off. So yes, they know.

I think we are actually pretty plain in the small things because we never have to worry about predators cooming after us or elements exposing us… and so the animals get to seem supersmart. I think the humans make themselves predictable and if we suddenly don’t act the routine — they instantly know something is up because they are alert by nature. Plus, animals are free from all mental clutter and can really focus on the real things.

Oh dear.. I know that feeling.

I had to give Chacha ear drops for 2 straight weeks and SHE KNEW I was going to pick her up before I even go to ther playpen

Ohhh yes…they know. Indy was late to his neuter appointment because I couldn’t get him out from under the bed. I was SO embarrassed!

                      They are so smart!

They are definitely smart and intuitive. Bublebunny had his vet appointment for a check-up a couple of weeks ago. We thought we could trick him by letting play around in the carrier in the morning. We set it in his home and he went in and out of it several times, looking around and sitting in it. We repeated this a couple of hours later and he did the same thing. At 3, when it was time to go to the vet, we put the carrier in his home and expected the same result. What did he do–HE RAN IN HIS HIDEY HOLE AND WOULD NOT COME OUT. How do they know??

My boys know the second I touch their favorite hiding spot someone is getting something done to them and they dart off in every which way possible. I now prepare the room so there is no escape route lol.

Nope, Sammy definitely doesn’t have this sixth sense lol He’ll walk right into the carrier just with the simple promise of a dried strawberry slice. Then he’ll turn around and look dumbfounded and the now-closed door behind him lol

Otti, if you can say that again a year from now, I’ll believe you.

I actually think we give off a different vibe that they pick up on. We tense up, or move differently, or something.
