Bun not pooping

Amelia was spayed on Monday, all has been going just fine she was just a bit quiet for her yesterday. When I got up this morning I found she hadn’t pooed all night. Waited a couple more hours still nothing so I’ve called the vet. They have me giving her critical care, and hay only. They to stop her pain meds too.

She is 4.2 lbs, 1.9kg, how often should I give her the critical care? I made up 1tbs dry of it and she ate almost all of it, I know the packages say to giver her 3tbs per kg per day

Critical Care should ideally be divided up into 4-5 servings per day.

Has she pooped yet? If she hasn’t, she might need a motility drug from the vet.

She has pooped, but it is less then normal. Once yesterday, and then over night. It’s not up to the normal amount, and size and shape have some irregularity. My vet will be calling me back tomorrow morning to asses what else we should do

Thank you everyone for your concern. Amelia seems to definitely be feeling better she got kind of antsy so I gave her a little bit of exercise time, after she played around in the living room for a little while she went right back to her litter pan and poo’d!

My guess is the combo of pain meds, and limited exercise, upset her system.

I’ll be keeping a close eye on her, and now we know this is something she is prone to
