Bun Franklin aka Frankie Flash (pics added)

Hi! So I’ve been on here for a month and I originally posted a welcome thing BUT I uploaded pictures wrong and my post was the reason the welcome section didn’t work for a couple weeks so… BIG SORRY there. Kinda feels like I might have got off on the wrong foot.

Anyways, Bun Franklin is almost 4.5 months old. He’s my little boy. I got him when he was almost 3 months old. He’s a little naughty- chewing carpet, escaping bunny proof areas, etc. I’m not sure what breed his is but he most definitely a harlequin. He’s unfixed as of now. I’m hoping to get him fixed soon but will go on my vet recommendation of weight. I thought I found a good vet, but then never actually got to meet her (it was just a nail trim) so I plan on getting him seen soon. I’m kinda afraid to post a picture because I want this to work this time

Oh and I tried calling him Frankie Flash for a week (the week I made my account on BB) and it never stuck. He is Bun or Bunjamin apparently.

I am a new bunny slave and refer to myself now as one (I didn’t at first- I was adamit that I would be in control ). I’ve been studying/researching pet rabbits for a while but wasn’t sure I was going to get one until I did. I wanted a companion after my recent move out of my parents house this august into a condo with my boyfriend (who works a ton) and I am home alone a lot studying. But my family and I are close so I visit a lot and Bun Franklin is spoiled way too spoiled by my mom. She calls him her “grand-bunny”.

I’m in college for a BA in Business management.
I also have my cosmetology degree and license in MI, where I live. But due to health complications, I can’t do that for a living. Although I still stay active in this field.
Also, I have a habbit of being a jack of all trades sorta things. Dabbled in a lot of different businesses (I call them hobbies or monies for poor college student)- selling art, pet-sitting, online selling, I could go on but I don’t want ramble about myself on a site for BUNNEHS!

Oh my gosh!!! He is ADORABLE!!!!! He looks so soft and fluffy!!!
And dont worry about rambling on about yourself, this site is as much for the companionship of fellow slaves as it is for info on bunnies.
No worries about breaking the site, I am sure we all found ways of keeping ourselves busy… like actually DOING the things we avoid when spending more time on here LOL

thank you everyone. He already thinks he’s cute stuff too. He milks it for treats Huckleberry, I’m already so bad at using this site from procrastinating studying.

Lintini- I would love to see pictures of your nethie himalayan. I’m not sure I’ve seen that. I wonder my bun is mixed with one of the smaller breeds (nethie, dwarf, etc) but it’s too soon to tell.

thank you. I love puns. Especially bun puns. But I can’t take the credit for that one- my mom came up with it.

Oh and he is super soft and fluffy. Another thing that makes it harder to figure out what breed he is. Not that I’d love him any less but I feel silly not knowing. The vet receptionist asked me what he was over the phone and I was like “uhh short hair, a-typical looking rabbit?”. So they put him as Cottontail I think. Isn’t that a wild rabbit breed?

I know what you mean about the breed situation. I dont really know for sure what Huckleberry is but I have decided to call her a part flemmie bc she is huge!!! I also got to meet what I was certain was her brother (came from the same store at the same time and looks just like her and unlike the others that were there at the time) and he convinced me. However, I did not put that on the vet records so now the vet tells me all the time that she is too heavy. She is around 12 lbs but she is so skinny from her diet that she has almost lost her dewlap.
