i was at the local shelter today visiting my soon-to-come-home pinky bun and a sweet little rex there named fuzz caught my attention.  i happened to have my camera out so i snapped a pic.  out of curiousity, does anyone know what those pink bumps are?  i’ve only ever had lop bunnies… are these normal looking bits on a rex or is something wrong with this sweetie?

To be honest, they look like bunny testicles. (Unless of course, it’s a female rabbit!)

Warren’s testicles were always noticeable between the time they descended until after his neuter.

i thought they might be testicles but my boy lop’s weren’t visible like this so i wasn’t sure.  this is the only bun without a sex label there so???

well maybe you should just take the bunny to have a check up with the vet before you take it home just incase it is poorly or needs attention? doesnt look like anything though i would say it is just his bits

Most likely testicles. My female rexes private parts though are much more noticeable than my regular buns simply because her fur is so short compared to a regular buns. She a spayed female but her private parts look bumpy but not that bumpy so I suspect this is an unneutered male.

Looks like Aspen shavings to me. I hope it is rather than cedar.

it’s aspen i believe.  at least thats what the donated bags off to the side are.  i’m not sure if they’d be careful about that tho, as they might just use what’s dropped off   thats a reason why i’m hanging out there… to gently find out about that stuff with out raising defences.  so far i’ve talked to 2 care staff who are knowledgeable about buns so it’s not the worst situation at least.
