Bromance Alert!! Mr. Bingley and Black Jack (the cat)

Sooo my parents have this cat named Black Jack. He is like…14 pounds! HUGE cat. And he is only 7 months old. Its crazy. I am allergic to him to top it all off. I keep this gate thing in front of my door during the day so Bing can have run of the room and the rest of the animals (2 cats, 1 dog and a bearded dragon) can have the house since they all get along. Bing is never in the same room as the cats, but the dog is about the same size as him and Bing chases her around…lol.

 

BUT…this is about the new Bromance that has developed between my parent’s cat and Bing. They sit at the gate and smell and stare at each other for hours. The cat tried to lick him through the bars. It was adorable!!

This is a “caught in the act” picture! They were touching noses.

They were napping next to each other, but Bing heard me walk up and sat up before I could get the money shot.

The strangest thing about this relationship is how nice Black Jack is. He isn’t very nice to me and chased me yesterday. It was dramatized because I ran…but touching him causes me to break out in hives all over! But this is just too cute!! <3

Haha, my parents’ cat, Monkey, is so in love with my rabbit Velvateen! He was a bit freaked out by him at first though but then one day when V and I were visiting my parents, I left V’s cage open not knowing Monkey was in the same room and came back to Monkey laying down in V’s cage! It was great. Haha

Actually, they met in the same sort of way. I thought all the animals were in my parents room and let Bing run around the apartment snd it turned out the Black Jack was sleeping in this little cubby hole that I forgot to check. All of a sudden, Black Jack’s head pops out to look at what was running around and he just watched Bing from his sleeping place. I actually have a picture of that too!

They aren’t the greatest pictures because they are from my cell phone, but its still cute!

My bun Gabby loves my cat Abby. Gabby was already named when I adopted her. She gets excited when Abby walks thru the room. Gabby jumps up on the back of the couch to be by her. Abby doesn’t seem to like her and just walks away from her.

I like odd couples. The strangest one I saw was an illustrious love affair between a peacock named Fred and an African crowned crane. The bunny and the cat are cute together though. =)

That’s cute! That’s great that they want to be friends.

Sometimes Stormy “presents” himself to my cats for head kisses but other times he chases them and bites their tails.

Ashley, would BlackJack happen to go to Chabot vet in Hayward? I think I met him last time when I took my buns there?!

Sugarbear– haha nope! (Black Jack has not yet had the courtesy of a vet visit. My dad recently lost his job and took a very low paying job in the mean time… So I’m saving up to take him in to get checked out and fixed. Its 20% off on wednesdays for spays and neuters at my vet!)
