Don’t know what I did, but I did something to make her mad! haha….she got to be out and play for like 7 hours today, then i ran to wal mart and came back about an hour later and let her out again and she thumped about 3 times! never heard that before….seriously, how does such a little bunny make such a big noise!

For some reason Jack was thumping for about 15 minutes straight today. The only thing I could think of is he saw a bird or some animal from the window.

            Ah, the thump.

I dislike it very much when they do it in the middle of the night.
One night Yuuki was doing it over and over and over at like 3 in the morning…I got up to see what he was having a fit about, and realized that Smile had managed to jump OUT of her cage onto the ceiling of her cage and was sitting there looking quite lost. Phew. Good for you, Yuuki, on that one…
But not the annoying pointless thumps

Thumping is sooo loud isn’t it! Edson has only done it 3 times. First night I got him and then the oddest time was the other day. I was at the computer, he stood in the doorway which he always does and then he ran off and thumped! I can’t image what triggered that. No noise, no dog or cat around. Must have been a ghost!

lol.  one of my friends was here to meet pinky when i first brought her home and couldn’t believe that the thump was coming from her.  she’s a big girl and her thumps sound like she’s gonna break through the floor & end up in the basement   also that it’s such a quick movement… you’d think they’d have to be more theatrical to make such a noise.

Meadow does them when she runs the 500 sometimes. at the start of each “lap” there will be a slight THUMP. she also does them as a precursor to jumping on the couch. i take it to be a warning that she’s on her way up. she never really does them for danger or anger. i guess maybe domesticated buns don’t always know when it’s appropriate.

Bunnytowne-on your chest?! Didn’t that hurt? Seems like their paw has to hit the ground pretty hard!

i’m guessing her sudden thump was because i had been playing with her all day, and at that point I was sitting at the table ignoring her….She let out another little one this morning when i let her out.

Any of your bunny’s have thumping wars or anything?

no thumping wars here.  which is surprising considering pinky was quite a thumper when i brought her home a couple of months ago.  she thumped for everything then.  now she reserves thumps for when she’s angry or wants attention.  same with baby bun.  after i clipped her nails (& cut the quick on 2 of them & had to stop the bleeding    )  she thumped when i put her in her enclosure.  both will also thump if i’m behind schedule in letting them out for their free-roam time.  picky picky.
