So, I got my rabbit Yuki last night, a BEW (Blue-Eyed White) Holland lop. A doe. It was about an hour and a half trip, and Yuki seemed not too frightened. I got her inside and gave her food and water before picking her up and sitting with her and massaging her and stroking her. She purred – more consistently than I’ve heard either of my other rabbits – and licked my fingers. However, this morning, when I got her out of her cage, she did NOT want me to pick her up. She thumped and ran around. When I finally got her and sat with her, she seemed content, but once again after I put her down she did not want me to pick her up again. She’s 14 weeks and comes from what we presume to be a very good breeder. (she was very clean when we got her, and is eating and pooping like crazy!)
I know I just got her, but it’s confusing when one moment she seems to like attention yet when I put her down she doesn’t!
By the way, she CANNOT be spayed. She is a show rabbit.
