Hello all! I am creating this post to log my bonding progress between my three bunnies. Their names are Shadoe, Bolt, and Eeyore. I will continue to update this thread when I am able to. Any advice about trio bonding is welcome. I am hoping to start the bonding process tomorrow.

So yesterday some of my siblings did stress bonding with the bunnies (which I was unaware of). That probably set me back a couple days. I am not planning to do anything today to give the bunnies a break. How long should I be doing cage switches before starting stress bonding?

Theres no set amount of time really, but most people advice that prebonding should last about a month, longer if the aggression is still present. Ideally the rabbits should be completely ignoring each other through the bars and no longer going nuts chinning everything when you swap the cages before you start bonding

In my personal opinion, you don’t have to go straight to stress bonding. I think that stress bonding can mean that the rabbits start to associate each other with stress, rather than with positive things. Stress can be successful with rabbits that incessantly fight in a neutral place, but it shouldn’t be the first plan for most bunnies.
