        Hi everyone!

I have 2 bunnies (male and female and both sterilized)  that have been perfectly bonded for 2 years. This past week my one has had food aggression and ends up nipping and grunting at the other when food arrives – making the one terrified and scared to come and eat. Whereas previously they ate together as a perfect pair.

Absolutely nothing has changed in their environment and I am so confused and unsure as to what to do.

Has anyone experienced this with bonded bunnies? Ps: the male is the one showing the aggression and yes he is definitely the dominant one and always grooms the female.
It is incredibly odd and I am unsure as to the best way to resolve this and get back the peace between them.

        thanks a mil

        alyssa

Sometimes when this happens it’s due to an illness in one of the buns. Do you think there could be a subtle health issue going on with one bun?
