I noticed that Snowball has a bit of bloody spots under his eye. I wonder if it has happened because he scratches his cheeks? One eye is totally clean.

This eye has a bit of blood on his fur.

        This one is totally clean

It’s really hard to tell. There is an area in front of the inner corner of the eye that looks like it might have had a scab or some fur pulled off.
Have you checked his feet and nails? Maybe he had a little blood on a paw and wiped it there when grooming his face.
What about food they’ve had recently? Any red fruit?
