  I know there’s only a few hours left but…. restaurant.com is having a black friday sale – use the promo code “SAVE” and get 80% off. None of the restaurants are in Canada, they’re all in the US, but we’ll be doing some travelling stateside so I ordered some for various places. A $25 certificate, regular $10 at the site, is only $2!!

  Black Friday in the US is the day after Thanksgiving, marking the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. Supposedly named because from that point on for the rest of the year the books would “in the black” as opposed to having red ink on them (for losing money). Because retailers know that people will be out shopping and they want to attract the most people they put on big sales.
