Black and raspberry vines

Seeing how Negan likes chewing on cords as if they were vines I was considering giving him some of our organic and wild blackberry and raspberry vines. 

Would I need to clean the thorns off or do they not mind?

I’d not give blackberry vines, the thorns are terrible. I give the leaves but only when they are still soft (early summer). I’ve never removed thorns from raspberry stems though, they have much softer thorns.

I noticed that every time I’d try to trim down the blackberry bush I’d end up ripping the thorns off with my gloves instead of ripping the actual vine, so that’s where the idea came from. But thanks for your feed back Bam. I have heard of thornless varieties of these bushes, maybe next year I’ll try those out.

There are thornless varieties. If you can get the thorns off of regular blackberry vines, that’d be great. It’s probably a different variety from those I’m used to, the thorns on the blackberries we have here don’t come off on gloves. They’d rather tear your gloves off. And your hair and skin :/
