Binky Bunny Advertisement..Question for FLs

 This is a question mostly for BB Forum Leaders. I see the advertisements that always run on the top of the BB forum page, and was wondering about one of them. There is an advertisement for rabbit hutches that scrolls across, showing many different types of hutches and their prices. I clicked through to the site, which took me to a page that sold mostly hutches (some kennel-type cages, too). 

I am wondering if this advertisement is consistent with the house rabbit “values” that BB puts forth, since most of us believe in keeping our rabbits indoors. I personally find it contradictory to what BB stands for, but thought I would get the opinions of BB and the Forum Leaders. I’m not trying to start a debate, this question comes from sheer curiosity. Thanks!

The advertising I believe comes from a company and is not chosen by BB, but if one is bad for the site, BB can request it get taken off rotation. There were some posts a few months ago about corsets and stuff being in the advertising as well.

I don’t know, personally. But I have teh same issue with Dr Foster and Smith, they sell a lot of stuff like yogurts on their site, and when I wrote a review on how they are bad they refused to post it. It bugged me.

I see an advertisement very often here on BB for mail order live turtles. The site is called “turtleshack.com”. Not sure if that’s bad for the BB site or not but I thought I’d mention it here too just in case!

I thought I had posted and pinned about this awhile back, but I couldn’t find the post.

The ads are a mix of our own ads and google ads. The google ads we don’t full control, (I can preemptively block breeder, or competitive stuff, however, I may not think of everything, like “live turtles”, so if an ad comes on that is not suitable, as long as I have the web address, I can put it on the block list.

So this is what you do – If you see the add you feel is not appropriate, you will need to click on the add to get ACTUAL web address. (Some are sneaky where they have a different or address that slightly varies to the one that is shown on the ad). The copy that URL and message it to me OR you can message BB (BinkyBunny)- let me know the image you saw and what the advertiser was about.

bunnyfriend — if you see that live turtle ad again, please let me know if the actual url is different than turtleshack.com (I will block that, but it won’t help if they use another url for advertising — a pathway link of sorts.
